bluelikejazz
I've had heart problems for a while- just a mitral valve prolapse and I was on anti-arrhythmia meds for a little while. I had so many tests, and the conclusion was that they are mostly harmless and I can safely ignore them. They went away, but they have come back recently. This could be because i'm really stressed and run-down, but since they coincided with the Ami pdoc got an ECG. It came back fine, because I wasn't having any palpitations when they hooked me up. Do the dangerous palpitations feel different? Can I safely continue ignoring them unless they continue for say more than an hour, or should I let pdoc do a holter? That's something that you need to discuss with a general physician or a cardiologist (not a pdoc,) but keep in mind that the Holter monitor may not pick up anything. Also, talk with your close relatives to see if they've had similar problems, and if the palitations were a sign of problems or just an annoyance. This Mayo Clinic link may have some useful info for you.
bluelikejazz
Thanks for the link. I just checked (thank god for ical) and my last cardiologist appointment was in 06! oops. After they did the electrical test I was reassured and I had so many other appointments I just forgot about it. Time for a checkup...
