MistyGypsy
My worst lithium side effect so far (11 days) is a constant headache. Paracetamol takes the edge off, but I don't want to be taking that constantly. If I wanted to greet the day with a head throbbing in pain I would've kept drinking! Any ideas on when/whether the headache will go away? Cheers, Misty
sorrel
Are you drinking enough water?
daisy
I don't take Lithium, but I do get headaches from Lamictal. Gatorade can be helpful for me. It doesn't take the headache away, but it does help hydrate me more, which improves how I feel.
MistyGypsy
I think I'm drinking plenty, not sure exactly how much but at least the 1.5 litres/day that my Pdoc advised. Not a fan of plain water, so drinking 1/3 juice 2/3 water. Maybe I'll give Gatorade a try
grousemouse
my lithium headaches come and go. i'll go without for a couple of weeks and then have them on and off for a week. i keep ibuprophen in my coat pocket all the time now. i find them to not just be headaches but kind of disorienting too. they give a kind of general, wholly unpleasant discomfort. maybe yours will by cyclic too. good luck, grouse.
