proteus
So after my last post, I talked to my doctor, and he prescribed Rozerem for me. I tried it for the first time last night, and I feel a tremendous sense of despair and shame today. Fortunately no suicidal thoughts, which is a related side-effect admitted by the manufacturer. You could say I'm coping with it pretty well, but I could see it grinding me down if it goes on too long. Does this effect tend to subside after a while? You could say I'm coping with it pretty well, but I could see it grinding me down if it goes on too long. Does this effect tend to subside after a while? As you already know, a possible side effect of Rozerem is a worsening of depression. If you can cope with it and want to give the med some time to see if it passes, please keep your doctor informed and stop taking the med if it becomes too much to handle. There are still other meds out there that can be used for sleep if you have to d/c the Rozerem. Rozerem had a popular thread for a while, you can find it here. I hope the side effects quiet down, and you can get some relief. Keep us posted on how it goes. ~ May

proteus
I took another one last night. The emotional response is still there, but either it's muted, I've learned to cope with it better, or I'm just under less pressure today. I'll keep experimenting.
