leopard
hello, I am on a cocktail that includes prozac 20mg and adderall 40mg. I have scoured many forums and sites and see many ppl on both an ssri plus adderall. I've been researching interactions and now see that ssri's, including prozac combined with adderall create a major interaction. To any of the pharmacology experts, what is the real truth? Does anyone here take an ssri/snri plus adderall; and is that combo working for you? Is there a particular ssri/snri that works better than another with adderall? I honestly don't care about interactions so long as they don't make the meds ineffective or put me at risk of coma, stupor or anything worse than that. If they work synergistically to make each med more effective, i have no problem with that......I just want to know what the facts are. thanks.. Velvet Elvis
I've always taken a combination of an SSRI and a stimulant. It's a fairly common combination and there's little cause for worry. If you were taking both drugs at their highest doses their might be a slightly increased risk of serotonin syndrome but even then the risk would not be high.
