kjauron
Just started lithium (took 300mg last night and 300mg this morning). I'm at work right now and feel freezing cold, to the point where it's difficult to work. Our office runs the AC very high so it's usually pretty cold in here anyway, and I've been drinking a lot of ice water today, so I hadn't thought much about it - but this is the coldest I've ever felt in the office and it's getting distracting. Could it be a side effect of the lithium?
MistyGypsy
I started lithium about 3 weeks ago & my hands & feet were like blocks of ice for the first week or so, but not anymore. Good luck with the lithium, I'm really pleased with what it's doing for me!
Penny Century
it can mess with your thyroid, which can make you cold, but that takes much longer than one day. hm, not sure what's up.
kjauron
In thinking more about it, I think it's probably because I've been so thirsty that I'm drinking way more cold water and much less hot tea/coffee. At least, I would assume that could make me feel colder. The thirst is driving me crazy though...

Slow thyroid can cause your body to feel cold as well your metabolism could be slowing. Which unfortunately means you could put on some weight (which lithium is infamous for). Good luck.
