proteus
It would be handy to have a list of commonly-prescribed sleeping meds and their known side-effects, common and rare. Anyone have any pointers?
olga
Proteus, if you look at the top of this forum, you will see most of the common sleep meds listed with links to their patient information sheets so you can check them all out. olga
tryp
Here's a list: The anti-depressants: Trazodone Remeron TCAs (amitriptyline, doxepin etc) The Benzodiazepines: Not going to list them all, but they tend to have pretty similar side effects. Ativan Klonopin Xanax Valium etc. The Z-compounds: Ambien Lunesta Imovane Sonata/Starnoc Rozerem The antipsychotics: Seroquel Zyprexa Risperdal The typicals (haldol, thorazine etc) OTC meds: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) melatonin valerian That's all I can think of at the moment. Some creative googling should get you PI sheets and side effect info.
