tryp
Long story short, pdoc is out of town, horrible insomnia, nothing I have on hand is working. Went to the pharmacy and bought this stuff. It has 100 mg of L-Theanine, 15 mg of 5HTP, and 1.5 mg of Melatonin. Anyone know if this is going to be dangerous with my meds? And/or whether this stuff might actually work? LunaRufina
5HTP could put you at risk for serotonin syndrome since you are taking a ssri. Melatonin can sometimes increase or induce vivid dreaming, I know you've also been having nightmares.
tryp
Oh. Thanks. I was worried about that but I didn't know.
tryp
Yeah, checked with another pharmacist and it's a no go. Fuck.
Littlewing
Awww tryp that sucks. Have you tried having a warm bath with lavender essential oil in it? I find that really helps me. And also if I sprinkle a few drops on my pillow at night. It's not a miracle cure, but when my sleeplessness isn't too bad, it seems to help me relax enough so that I can get to sleep. Hope this helps some. LW x
bluelikejazz
I'm glad you checked. What about valerian? or one of the antihistamines (interactions with remeron?)?
