netsavy006
I don't know if this is reasonable and I know I'd have to ask my pdoc if this would be a safe mix but after getting off of the other medications he wants to work with me off of would it be sensible to work with the doc if he suggests Lamictal and remain on Lithium if it can be adjusted for my anti-inflammatory needs? Or is this too much of a medical question? (I know he wants me off of Lunesta too, in addition to needing to get off of Neuontin and Topamax). Ophelia
[... ]would it be sensible to work with the doc if he suggests Lamictal and remain on Lithium if it can be adjusted for my anti-inflammatory needs? Anti-inflammatories are known to effect Lithium serum levels, but that does not mean you cannot be on both, but that you have to have it closely monitored. Of course, this would mean that you would have had to have found an anti-inflammatory that was satisfactory to you. You already said that Celebrex was "too risky in [your] eyes." Well, what are you planning on going on? Are there really *any* anti-inflammatory medications that market themselves as being both 100% effective and having 0% risk of side effects and whatnot? netsavy006
We haven't found an anti-inflammatory medication yet, it was just hypothetical. Waiting for communications between doc and pdoc.

But why did *you* nix Celebrex before even starting?
