The benefits of psychostimulants

Recommended Posts

I have been taking concerta for the last two weeks. I feel much better in terms of concentration, and depression.

my question is, will these benefits be maintained over time, or is this something i should enjoy while it lasts, because it's going to end?

Well, this drug in particular (concerta) has three dosages. I switched yesterday to the intermediate one, after taking the lowest for just 2 weeks. It has positively ass kicked my depression, which is my main concern. Nobody dies of ADD (well, ADD alone). I just feel stable, like i haven't for a long time, and want to keep this string of good days going as long as I can.

With your comment in mind, some relief is better than no relief. I guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

thanks ;)

I have certainly felt better since adding a stim to my cocktail. It's been a short time at a low dose but it does seem to kick me in the ass in a way that I need. It helps with the depression some too but I guess I can't count on that effect sticking around.

Well, good luck on it.

I have tried focalin xr (wore off way to fast but loved the way it worked when it did) ritalin (made me want to rip off the face of the person next to me). Now im on concerta. My pdoc says take 36 mg per day. This crap wears off before lunch. i took it at 7:00 and at 11:30 im daydreaming and spaced OUT. So i popped another 18 mg after lunch and seem to be doing better. I could probably do 36mg in the am and at lunch. Anyone else have to take their concerta more than once a day?
