chocolate chips for people wtih nut allergies

My grandson has egg and nut allergies. i have recipes to make chocolate chip cookies without the eggs, however my daughter-in-law is concerned that chocolate chips are made or processed in the same environment where nut products are made. Are regular chocolate chips safe for someone with nut allergies or is there a special brand i should be buying? Thanks

It's all factory dependent - usually the package will say. I'm sure you can also call the company as well.

Enjoy Life chocolate chips are made in a nut-free and egg-free facility. I can find this brand in the natural food section of the grocery store.
