Cuttlefish
I just posted two more images into my gallery folder. However, when I first tried to upload them, I got an error saying that the files were too large. So I resized them. I've never had this problem before, I always restrict my image size to 1200x900 pixels or less by resizing them in Photoshop. After I uploaded them, I glanced at the sizes of the images' data. These new images, being smaller in size than my older images that were 1200x900 pixels, take about 4 times more space (430kb vs. 105kb). I can't pinpoint what I did differently with these images as opposed to the older images in my gallery. Same camera, and same Photoshop 5.5. Obviously there was something different in the processing of both of the kinds of images in my gallery, but what? I don't want all of my gallery images to be this large, as I don't want to hog the resources of wherever our gallery is stored.

Cuttlefish
Same file format? Yep, both types are JPEG.
Cuttlefish
Does 5.5 have "save for web"? I use that a lot for web images because you can control the file sizes. I'd restrict your image sizes to 800X600 as well. Yes, there is a save to web option. I was hoping that the professional photographer would help me out.
