rowen
What is meant by unusual bruising? I noticed something about it on the crappy Abilify "information" sheet the pharmacy gave me. Over the last month or so, I've noticed that I have a lot of bruises on my legs and a few on my arms that I absolutely cannot explain. I know that there could be a million and one causes, but I'm curious as to whether or not my cocktail is the culprit.
c-
hello: i have often wondered that myself. i haven't looked it up in the context of side effects yet, but may inquire with my p-doc and g-doc's next week. frequently, my girlfriend is questioning bruises that i cannot reconcile the cause. i.e. clumsieness, knocking into things when balance is impaired, etc.
Anna
Usually, what is meant by unusual bruising is a whole mess of bruises cropping up in weird places, with no real explanation for example, being bruised all over one's backside and legs merely from sitting, ore the pressure of one's watch leaving a bruise when it never has before. Some meds have side effects which cause unusual bruising responses from normal, not usually bruising activities. That's when you have to worry. The odd bruise here and there from walking into something half asleep that you don't remember, probably doesn't qualify. Sure, it may be the medication causing it, indirectly, by making you sleepy, but I don't think that's what the PI sheet means. If you're worreid about it, or bruises are really cropping up from all over the place when you've never bruised before, go and get it checked out by a doc so you don't worry about it.
