I woke up 20 minutes ago. My heart was racing, I was sweating, I couldn't stop shaking and I was nauseas like you wouldn't believe. I just finished throwing up a whole lot of bile and my heart is no longer racing, but 'fluttering' and I still can't stop shaking. I'm freezing cold but it's supposed to be a warm night here.

Is it the Epilim and Fluoxetine clashing? Or just severe side effects from on or the other?

I can't find any information about if these two drugs interact badly and I can't contact anyone about it because it's 5:30am. I can't call the doctor who prescribed them to me later today either because it's Saturday and she doesn't work on weekends. I just want to know if this will pass, if I should keep taking the meds or if it's something more serious. I've never had side effects like this with any drug. It doesn't feel normal but I might just be overreacting.

I started taking them three days ago at the same time, which may have something to do with it.

I'm taking very small doses so I am kind of bewildered as to why my body is reacting like this - 400mg of Epilim and 10mg of Fluoxetine. The doctor wants to increase the doses weekly, to do it slowly, and I hope that this doesn't just get worse.

are you sure its the meds that made you sick?

did you get sick the first 2 nights also?

if it was me and i was sure the meds made me barf like that then i would have trouble with taking the next round of pills until i could talk to the doc.

im on fluoxetine (prozac) and ive taken depakote before and ive never had such a bad reaction from them.

No, I didn't get sick the first two nights but I was told that side effects can come and go at random times, or maybe I just ate something bad...who knows. Anyway I'm feeling ok now, still a bit nauseas but nothing compared to before. If the same thing happens again tonight then I'll talk to the doctor on Monday.
