scream_phoenix
i've been on seroquel for seven years now at 50 mg. i've recently come to realize how much its impacting my sleep quality, and reading an article posted on here that its metabolite is a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, i have all the more incentive to get off it. the problem is i don't know how difficult its going to be. right now my plan is to take 25 mg for a while with trazodone, and eventually phase out the seroquel altogether. but i don't know how long i should go down on the seroquel. has anybody come off of it before? how long did it take, and did you phase in another atypical antipsychotic, or other sleep med with it? remedy48
Seroquel is one of those meds that don't require titrating off of. So you are safe to come off of it all together. Also 50mg is a very low dose of Seroquel. Some people are on 800mg of this stuff.
SashaSue
At 50mg, I don't think you're even getting any of the NRI action.
