MarkP
Your typing makes it obvious that you are suffering from temazepam intoxication. If you abusing your medication (ie: taking more than prescribed, taking it more often than prescribed, etc.), then I would suggest that you need to seek treatment for that, whether that be rehab, 12-step meetings, etc. If this is your prescribed dose, then you are obviously on a much higher than necessary dose, and you should ask your physician (do not drive!) for a lower dose. gizmo
I agree with MarkP completely. I took one look at the typing of your post and it was pretty clear you were pretty zoned out on your temazepam. I'm all for giving a person the benefit of the doubt, but you generally have to intentionally want to take enough benzos to get to the place where you are walking around like a drunk at work and spelling "took" as "tokk". To answer your question, how much is too much? More than is written on the bottle is too much. If you feel you need to take more, then you need to discuss it with your doctor beforehand. Otherwise, you get labled as a abuser and you don't get prescribed benzos anymore. I know you don't want that, now do you?
ehygon
<derail\> way to jump the gun and act like assholes, you guys. look at her sig; it's small, but it says, SHE HAS DYSLEXIA. </derail> That being said, I do think she is having problems with being intoxicated by the medication. I will not assume this is because she is abusing it, because it's also likely a> she is very sensitive to it or b> she had just taken the pill. The timestamp on her post indicates to me, she posted after 10pm her time, which is a reasonable hour to go to bed. Ash, with respect to your question, the answer is complicated. From your post, it seems like maybe you're having a 'hang over' effect, which might be because you're not getting enough sleep (so you should take the pill and go to bed earlier), or because the drug is having effects on you long after you want it to. I would suggest trying to go to bed earlier if you can, and tell your doctor about this experience. If sleeping earlier doesn't help, your doctor still needs to know, and might give you something else to sleep. I dont know how comfortable you are with your boss, but being honest about the situation might help. Letting him/her know you've been having trouble sleeping at night might be enough for him/her not to punish you somehow while you're figuring out how to deal with the situation. That is your judgement call.
gizmo
<derail\> way to jump the gun and act like assholes, you guys. look at her sig; it's small, but it says, SHE HAS DYSLEXIA. </derail> Well, you know, it only took four years of being at CB to be called an asshole. Not too bad, I guess. But I still stand by my post. I don't list in my signature that I invert the spelling of words such as thier instead of their and teh instead of the. While I don't feel I have dyslexia (my father was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child and my daughter inverts the letters in words as well) I do know that the spell checker is my friend. But as someone who has intentionally blitzed herself on benzos and then tried to write something, I know what the difference between the two looks like. For me, at least. And given the fact that the OP asked "how much is too much" indicates to me that they took more that the script stated. So while I may have missed the dyslexia in her signature, I will stand by what I wrote - that "too much" is more than what is written on the bottle. - Asshole signing off
AirMarshall
There is no jumping the gun here. Ash is normally quite accurate and coherent when she posts. Obviously she is not doing well at the moment. Ash: Normal dosages for Tem. are either 7.5mg or 15mg at bedtime. Some patients may need 30mg. Please stop taking the Tem. and call your doctor. Best, a.m.
