How to change password?

The system lets me log in, then treats me as a guest. I used the retrieve password function and got in Email a totally incomprehensible string of characters. Now I want to change that to something easier, but again it is treating me like a guest after I log in, and anyway there is nothing in help that tells you how to change your password.

clean out your cookies and it should let you stay logged in with the new password.

If you go to "my settings" there should be a change password option
