speeding my face off ...

day 7 at 30mg of cymbalta, and i haven't felt like this since the days of cocaine (many moons ago).  i am assuming this will wear off as i get used to the new med.

i'm sure this has been addressed elsewhere, but i tried to find it and i can't.  guess i am just looking for a little reassurance that this is normal.

zonked tonite, but man was today a ride.  driving was not fun. i start 60 mg tomorrow. oy.

Yikes!  Sorry -- no personal experience with that one (except through the joys of mania), but I just wanted to say maybe you should talk to pdoc before increasing your dose.  I haven't taken Cymbalta, but if this is just an adjustment side effect, it seems like you should adjust to 30 before going to 60? I don't recall having any issues like this with Effexor, but I think Wellbutrin made me feel somewhat speedy at times, so the NE suspicion seems likely.

Yeah, I vote with Gretl.  I don't have a pdoc, so my primary care guy started me on Cymbalta and he insisted on a month at 30mg.  He said that the drug information suggested one week on 30 and then upping to 60, but he wasn't comfortable with that.

He gave me the 30mg samples so I would have a month's supply.

Maybe you should call today, Pinky and ask to postpone going to 60mg.

Also, ask about the speediness.  I can see the euphoria, but the speediness is weird.  Makes me wistful for the old days of bennies and dexies.  sigh

I also get sleepy at night on it, which is good for me so I get a good night's sleep.

don't worry it won't feel like cocaine forever.  if it did, it wouldnt be legal hehe:)

i feel this way on effexor sometimes after dosage adjustments.  it goes away in a few days, for better or for worse.

I'm sorry you'll feeling that way . It sucks. Paxil makes me feel like that. Maybe stay at a lower dose before titrating up. Call the doc and let him know.

I would definitely wait until you stop feeling like you're on crack before you going up. I haven't been on Cymbalta, but Wellbutrin made me go WOWWOOHOOLOOKITTHATOMGWTFBBQQ WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

And then I flatlined and slept for about fourteen hours straight, thoroughly killing whatever desire I ever harbored to try drugs.

Yeah, it gets better.

Cymbalta kicks in pretty fast but isn't at all subtle.  I'd go ahead and go up to 60mgs to get the startup effects over with. I think they kept up for about 10 days after I went up to 60mgs.
