ariel dylan
Daughter recently placed on moban and amantadine. Amantadine caused rapid improvement of mood, lowered racing thoughts. Not sure how it works in conjunction with Moban. I think Moban is intended to lower neuronal excitability by reducing dopamine and the Amantadine is intended to stabilize neuronal excitability by effecting NMDA receptors. On these meds daughter has some weird symptoms. Some seem like akathisa. Some feel like a mildly dissociative state. So question is first whether anyone has had short and/or long term experience with amantadine. My second question is whether anyone has had experience with Moban with or without amantadine to treat BP.
olga
ariel, this is a first person site, by crazy people and for crazy people. While I understand your concern for your daughter, we would really rather be talking to her. I deleted your duplicate post. I assume that it was a mistake. olga
Velvet Elvis
Well, how old is your daughter? We don't want to talk to her if she's six or something. We'd also need to know what's she's taking it for. Amantidine and I didn't get along real well. It made my OCD and anxiety a lot worse.
