StrungOutOnLife
so. since i started my lamictal/topamax therapy, every week or so ive woken up with ONE tiny blister on the inside of my bottom lip - its about the size of a pinhead. its not red or irritated at all...and it resembles a water or heat blister. of course, i cant leave it alone...so i always end up popping it or breaking it with my teeth. it doesnt hurt. and it goes right away with no pain. like i said - it comes back...never accompanied by any more than just the one...and never sore or itchy or ANYTHING. ive never experienced anything like this before taking these meds combined - so im wondering if its contributing to this. other people tend to think its from stress or my lips being dry. maybe its from them being dry but im thinking its not. i HAVE been using a lot more chapstick...just too many things to factor into the damn equation any ideas? next time one 'pops' up i should take a pic and post it - see what you all think. by the way, i dont get cold sores (which dont really start on the INSIDE of your mouth) or am succeptable or any other type of mouth ulcers... xo ash <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I Googled lamictal and mouth ulcers and came up with this: Warning! * This medicine may rarely cause a decrease in the normal amounts of blood cells in the blood. For this reason you should consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms: unexplained bruising or bleeding, purple spots, sore throat, mouth ulcers, high temperature (fever), feeling tired or general illness. Your doctor may want to take a blood test to check your blood cells.
