energ
MA, I was on remeron at 7.5 for months. I split my pills into quarters at the suggestion of my doc. Worked great for me!!!
Sunshine
The pharmacist is correct in saying it's difficult to get an accurate dose, but in my opinion, it would be negligible (unless you're super med-sensitive). Most of the times I've been on Remeron (usually for insomnia), I split a 15 mg tablet into quarters.
Sunshine
The latter - that it's difficult to split evenly (or that it might crumble) when not scored (plus they are pretty tiny).
gretl
... my pill cutter is awesome I have yet to crumble a tablet First of all ... I'm so glad to hear something is working for you! Second ... can you share this miracle pill cutter?! Where'd ya get it? What does it look like? Can you find it online so I can see it??! Sorry, I'm a PITA. But I hate wasting money on those stupid things. Now I just use a glass plate and a straight razor. That way when the razor gets dull, I only have to replace IT, not an entire appliance. But it does mean I have to eyeball accurately, and have a steady hand. Somedays not a good bet.

I got mine at Walgreens for $3-$4, somthing like that. Here are pics of various models. http://www.westons.com/hh98_38_4.htm
gretl
Man. Doing it that way would give me cocaine cravings like nobody's buisness. Oh trust me ... the first several times, I had some pretty "mixed feelings" over the whole process!! Then I just felt pissy B) I have the style you sketched so nicely for me, Missy, LOL! But for me, the razor blade always goes dull after a few weeks. Then it starts producing mis-matched halves; forget QUARTERS. Whine whine whine .... sorry, I'll quit now. I'm sooo glad you're finally sleeping good!!!
Velvet Elvis
I didn't get any AD effect until 30mgs. We're all different, but I'd think that theraputic effects at 7.5mgs couldn't be that great. Have you tried Seroquel yet?
Velvet Elvis
Lam. supposedly has a fairly good AD effect, so that's probably a good idea, particularly since you're bp1 and not on a mood stabilizer.
Sulu
Misguided Angel, is there any chance that you might actually have had the flu and not known it at the time? The only reason I ask is that a few people I know had similar symptoms a while ago and none of them were on crazymeds. By the way your list of rx's is almost as long as mine. And your pdoc doesn't give up on you? Of course not, it is their job to help us no matter how long it takes, right?
