Velvet Elvis
I suppose we could ban you if you ask nicely.
Lily
VE, I've actually considered writing you guys and asking you to limit my access times. But then I realized I'd just go play somewhere else until I could get back here. I also downloaded on-line software called "Temptation Buster" that will block access to any program on your hard drive--and to the Temptation Buster program itself--for however many hours you specify (of course this assumes you have moments of lucidity and you can, fingers trembling, block your own access to Solitaire). But damn! I download it, it works once, then I can't open the damn program ever again! zsandos, can you shut the computer off, and pretend that it's like 1980 and you don't have a computer anymore? Velvet Elvis
I've got a program that flashes my screen every hour just to keep me aware of the passage of time. I still procrastinate enough and say "I'll quit in just a few minutes" every few minutes that that I get nothing done.
ldo
Well, with time, relief of depression, and treatment of my ADD, plus having a new girlfriend, I seem to be having less of a problem. But it ain't easy. Highly recommend walks on sunny days, plus exercise, etc. But that's not easy to do. I'll bet if you buy a bucket and show up as a volunteer in New Orleans you won't see a working monitor for days.
