Kris
Okay, I've been on Cymbalta for couple months now and routinely take it in the morning. Initially (well prior to taking it), was into my famous can't fall asleep thing. Been doin great for the last month or so, and for the last few nights I'm up at 3am, still tired as hell, but not able to fall asleep again. Is this a freakin side effect? What I'm wondering is if it would benefit me to take it before bed. Maybe by 3am it's totally worn off? Anyone help? Can ya tell I'm graspin for straws. Help, I need someone to fix me... jmb252
Is Cymbalta the only med you're on? I take 120 mg at night and it doesn't do anything to my sleep, positive or negative. I used to take it as a split dose, 60 in the am, 60 in the pm and there was no significant difference between that and what I'm doing now. Need more info before I could help you say whether Cymbalta might be the culprit on this one... jen
Kris
Yup, Cymbalta is all I'm on. I was told either take in am or pm didn't matter. Been on this for the past like 2 months 60mg. It doesn't make me tired during the day and I'd been back to fallin asleep for a few weeks, but damn, now I'm awakening at 3, 4, 5, needless to say well before my alarm. I used to take Zoloft at night around 7 for all of the 11 yrs. or so I took it. I do have xanax case I have trouble fallin asleep...but when its 3 or 4 am if I take it I'm sooooo more tired the next day (like today!) ahh! Thanks for your reply. Velvet Elvis
If you had trouble sleeping before you were on it, it's likely the same insomnia biting you again and not somthing med related. You might want to look into finding somthing to take before bed to help you sleep through the night.
