glitterpants
I've been on 300 mg of Seroquel for the past few weeks. I titrated up slowly, and even on the 300 mg, felt very little effect until lately. I feel like I'm all over the place! I'll be depressed for a few days, and feel hypomanic for a few days. This is in contrast to my normal cycling pattern - I'm not a rapid cycler, my moods tend to last weeks to months. Is it even possible for Seroquel to trigger rapid cycling? Or is this just a step in Seroquel finally kicking in? The latter would be nice.
Bueler
I don't have the experience of a million people to answer your question definitively, but usually (or at least in my case) the Seroquel just calms things down. And, when I feel like I'm heading for (hypo)mania, I usually take a morning/daytime dose of Seroquel, and that keeps me from getting high and crazy. Usually, I just take a small dose at night. Daytime doses are for mania. Just my experience.
SashaSue
I'm no doctor, but I can't imagine seroquel being the cause of your rapid cycling. More likely, you're just rapid cycling, and you need a higher dose of seroquel, or a different med.
