olga
I have no idea if this was a large enough study to be a good one, but they're looking at the age of both parents as a factor in the frequency of babies later diagnosed with autism: http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6174UC20100208 One of the things they point out is that older parents have had more time to absorb more toxins from our environment and from food. nalgas
I hadn't seen that new one, but I had heard about the previous results about there being some correlation with the father's age. Emettman
My parents were both in their early twenties while, now I know what I am, I can look back and spot elements of it in a few other relatives with definite AS traits, especially my maternal grandfather. At most, I suspect parental age will be a small factor. Perhaps influencing the dealing of cards from an already biased genetic deck. edit for spelling.
