Panz
So far Effexor XR is the only only thing that comes even close to dealing with my frantic depression and suicidal episodes. I've tried Prozac (gave me convulsions) Welbutrin, Paxil...yadda yadda.......so here I am back on the big E again... Dear God, I hope that I can take it for life, withdrawals are pure hell What drives me the most barking mad is that as long as I take the drug, I hallucinate sounds like mad. Phantom music, weird animal sounds, two men talking in low voices...all of these phantom sounds. I already see and hear things sometimes anyway, but the phantom music weirds me out the most for what ever reason As if I needed any help with my darling ittle psycho brain poots And then there are the ever so loverly sweats... Just wanted to rant a wee bit
Sme
adding some Seroquel to the mix might just do the trick. as tom said, those sound like minor psychotic episodes. at the right dose, the seroquel might help quiet the noise. i'm on effexor 300mg (for the last 9 months) and seroquel. i've always had sound hallucinations as far back as i can remember. but i haven't had even one episode since the seroquel. might be worth a shot. username
Actually, it doesn't seen to be all that uncommon with Effexor. On 300mg I was bothered by auditory hallucinations. My psyc reasoned that the drugs affect on Dopamine at that dose was the likely culprit.
