hollywoodfreaks
I saw a commercial for Wellbutrin XL the other day and it said that sometimes it can cause a severe elevation of blood pressure. How common is this and is it a good idea to buy a blood pressure cuff to check it ? (I'd be using the immediate release form)
Kablume
I've been talking Wellbutrin SR for several years and my blood pressure is always normal. I beleive it is one of those possible side effects they have to list.
zsandoz
with the immediate release it might be an issue. you can just see your doctor a week or so after initiating treatment or ask the prescribing doctor or pdoc to take your blood pressure. when i started strattera treatment a few years ago my pdoc checked to make sure i didnt already have elevated blood pressure before he started. so you might want to check it, but dont worry too much
Velvet Elvis
I wouldn't worry about it unless you allready have blood pressure problems.
Greenyflower
Just check your blood pressure a few times in the beginning at one of the ones you see in pharmacies or grocery stores. That should give you some indication as to any effects you're having from the Wellb.
