Havoc175 - Bipolar I

Recommended Posts

Hey I've browsed around the site and it looks awesome! I registered to share my experience, to learn from your experience, and hopefully post on my experiences. I've had two manic psychotic episodes, rapid cycling experiences, mixed mood states, med drama, family drama, bouts of severe depression, and so on. The first five years were tough, but fortunately I was correctly diagnosed the first time (they were considering schizophrenia). I'm a Christian as well, and it has played a role for better and worse in my bipolar.

The biggest step I've made my pdoc and tdoc say is that I've made bipolar a progressively smaller piece of my identity. Bipolar used to be who I was.

I look forward to participating in this community!

Cheers,

havoc

Hi

Wecome to the board!! I'm from Ireland and have Bipolar disorder. It's a great comfort to know that you're not struggling alone. This board is great for sharing experiences to help others and to hear about other people's experiences so you can be helped.

I too am a christian, and can honestly say that without God on my side I would be probably dead as there are times when things have felt extremely hopeless.

Take care!

Joyce:)

Welcome to yet another newbie from the Mitten state. There hath been a recent influx. At least I can now throw around some Michigan idioms with impunity (e.g. life in the left lane). Browse around. It's a cool place. Lots to see. The mods are really helpful.
