iliketospoon
I've been lurking for a few months now and have decided to join. Whenever I've joined a mental health board in the past, I never felt connected to the group. I would look back on my old posts and feel I wasn't quite being myself. It is extremely, extremely difficult for me to relate to, and feel comfortable with anyone other than my boyfriend. I have been diagnosed with Borderline and Dependent Personality Disorders, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Dysthymia/Major Depression. I have been in and out of therapy since I was 11 and been on different medications. I'm currently not seeing a therapist but am looking for one. I've been taking 200mg of Lamictal for about a year now for BPD, mainly to control my mood swings/rage. It has helped a lot actually. So I've really tried to stick to this medication unlike ones in the past... Hopefully I can be more of myself here. Thanks for reading...

friction
Welcome. I haven't been a member for long here either. I am in a similar situation to you, in that I really struggle to be myself with anyone else except my boyfriend. Hope that you are able to be yourself here
olga
Welcome to CrazyBoards. We expect you to be EXACTLY like us......nutz!! Be yourself, my dear. We've seen it all, I think. Lots of crazy stuff going on with our members. I think the only think that I get impatient with is when people refuse to take any action at all to help themselves. If you're sticking with your medication and looking for a therapist, those are excellent steps. Read the rules when you have time and let us know if you have any questions. olga
