lluvia_z
After much deliberation, my doctor and I are switching my AP from zyprexa to geodon due to weight gain and rising glucose levels. we are also adding depakote to the mix: the final regimen should be lithium 1200mg, geodon 120mg or 180mg, depakote 1500 mg, klonopin prn. Has anyone else gone from zyprexa to geodon? Any good/bad geodon stories you wanna share with me? Thanks! --lluv
seamonkey
I didn't go from zyprexa to geodon. I went from seroquel to geodon. My p-doc didn't have me taper off, it was just a BAM stop the seroquel and start the geodon. I went manic as fuck and felt like puking all the time and she wouldn't return any of my phone calls. My mood eventually balance out and I'm great on just the geodon alone with something to help me sleep. I've been on 120mgs for about 3-4 years and haven't had any mania till we fiddled with the geodon dosage

lluvia_z
ugh, I think I'm going to go back down to the 60 mg. the 120 mg had me retching. i think my pdoc was a bit too gung ho about titrating up really quickly--too quickly. Still thinking I'm gonna stick it out, though... --Lluv
