Will Seroquel XR work when Seroquel did not?

I tried Seroquel about 2 years ago but got horrible akathisia. I felt like I had to move around and I was crawling out of my skin. But my new doc said that Seroquel XR may be different. Seems like it would cause the same problem. What do you think? I would be taking a low dose (under 100mg) for anxiety.

Regular Seroquel made me extremely sleepy during the day, XR didn't. I don't know if the same can apply to akathisia.

My knee jerk is to say that it won't make a difference, but it could be that not getting a huge dump all at once will change something. It's worth a try, at least - you can always stop if it's not good.
