The other day I took Clozaril earlier then scheduled because I was having "obsessive thoughts", and within a 1/2 hr. of taking the Clozaril, that symptom went away. That was only with a 100mg pill (being used PRN which I know shouldn't be done; didn't take a 2nd 100mg that night so don't worry).

Seeing the benefit I get from Clozaril, is it a bad move (for when I get a pdoc) to discuss my benefits from Clozaril and possibly increase my dosage.

I have been diagnosed (though I don't know how to explain this) "on and off" with OCD, and I know someone at the program I was going to who is taking Clozaril for OCD, and she says it helps.

What I know I can't do again, is take the Clozaril earlier than scheduled because I get side effects (walking becomes a problem, getting up out of the chair is difficult, sleepy/sedated)

(so even if I raised the dosage, it would have to be all @ bedtime).

What do you think. Could more Clozaril help?

Andy...

(ps. I'm not seeing/hearing things; no paranoia)

You wrote about taking your Clozaril early in this thread.

I wouldn't really consider what you did taking your med "PRN." You took it 2 hours early. That really is not a huge deal. Obviously, though, you take the Clozaril right before you go to bed because it makes you extremely tired, knocking you out pretty fast (which is kind of a good attribute for a med taken at night). All of the side effects you described in this thread and the other one can all be attributed to the simple fact that Cloraril makes you very sleepy and because it wasn't 10 p.m. yet you were fighting your body's want to fall asleep.

As Sasha said, this is something to mention to your future pdoc. He calls the shots.
