netsavy006
I'm wondering because I was up to 300mg for sleep and it still wasn't working and the doctor (in hospital) was thinking of increasing it. How high can you go with Trazadone?
Laume
My pdoc mentioned 600 mg.
Velvet Elvis
You can go pretty high. It's an AD that is commonly used for it's antihistamine side effects. If you get up too high you'll start getting into the doses where it's intended to work as an AD and it will start to have an effect on serotonin and therefore be a mania risk if drugs that operate on serotonin reuptake are a risk for you. Really if one med that's supposed to knock you out by way of H1 blockaide doesn't work, switching it out for another one that does the same thing isn't going to work any better if you've just grown tolerant to antihistamines. mika
I know someone who was on 700 mg. Typically that high of a dose is used for depression, though.
