goodoldneon
Who am I? It’s a question I ask myself often, which is strange considering the kind of access I have. This much I can tell you though- I am the new Hollywood “It” girl, the next Leo, America’s fresh-faced boy next door, and your new best friend all rolled into one. I am a poet, a dancer, and- perhaps most of all- a thief. Soon I am to steal your heart. More to the point however, I am a wanna-be writer, husband, father, (atypical) depressive, and thinking man living in the Big City, New Hampshire to be exact. Katyusha
Welcome from another DFW [fan?/follower?/reader?/chickenscratcher in the margins of a worn copy of Infinite Jest?]. Is it true what they say about the large, feral, man eating hamsters that inhabit the Great Concavity you call home? Perhaps. Or not. My perceptions were not, tu connais, entirely reliable. And yet I am aware that the ingenuity of D. Gately, compromised as he may be of late, has saved me on numerous occasions during the exhumation of Him. The sheer sincerity of beasts is almost heartbreaking, even when they are trying to eat you... It also calls to mind the old turn, "You don't have to swim faster than the shark, just faster than the fauteuils rollants behind you," so you may guess why the inhabitants of the Concavity (or is it the Convexity?) have been, like so many things, a blessing as well as a threat to life. [sorry to all y'all for the self-indulgence] I assume you are referring here to the retrieval of Himself’s head, that which (purportedly) plays host to the master copy of the much speculated upon Entertainment (aka. Samizdat) – which, we’re sort of left to speculate, may or may not exist – itself being, perhaps, simply another urban legend that may or may not have been planted in the Year of the Tucks Medicated Pad. In any case, I think I’m going to enjoy conversing with you – I have some general questions regarding your Emsam experience. On Friday, I have an appointment to discuss my progress (or lack thereof) with respect to my current drug regimen of 40 mgs of Prozac and 1 to 2 mgs of Ativan as needed to mitigate the frequent panic/anxiety/social phobia assaults upon my grey matter. I’ve been diagnosed with atypical depression with a healthy side order of rapid cycling BP II, heavy on the depression. Based on what I’ve read, MAOI’s, assuming one is willing to live with the myriad side effects, are often more effective in the treatment of atypical depression. I’m a vegetarian, and soy based products pretty much form the foundation of my diet, so, I’m a bit concerned with respect to the dietary restrictions associated with MAOI’s. I understand that, at its lowest dose, Emsam mitigates the tyramine (sp?)/hypotension risks, but based on prior history, most drugs, when taken at their lowest dosage, have little effect on my ass. And by all means, feel free to self indulge.
