GrayEyes777
I've been on Lexapro now a few months and it has definitely helped me ALOT. My only negative is the severe constipation I'm experiencing. And yes, I eat right and drink lots of water, etc. I've even been drinking prune juice and/or eating prunes on a daily basis. But to no avail. Still doing "rocks", if you know what I mean. Last night I finally had to give in and take Milk of Magnesia and then this morning followed it up with a Fleet suppository. It did eventually work but was a bit "uncomfortable". Now I've had IBS all my life so am no stranger to all this - but it has always gone back and forth from constipation to diarrhea, and actually the last few years have been mostly the latter (meaning I always had Immodium in my purse!). I read somewhere you can take Milk of Magnesia on a daily basis and am wondering if I should do the same - has anyone else had issues of constipation with their AD? (fyi, I was on Prozac for like 12 years prior to this with never a constipation problem??) Terri
