Has anyone had the experience of increasing their dose from 20 to 40 and seem to have gotten worse instead of better? Seems counterintuitive. I was on bupropion , went up to 300 , lamictal 200 and klonopin as needed.

Doc says to try prozac and tapper off bupropion. When I first took the 20 mg I felt like started becoming sleepy at night like a normal person should but then went to 40 and all kinds of side effects. Problem is I went to 75 on the bupropion so I dont know which is the problem. this trial and error thing is going to kill me. I want to stop all and completely start over but I know how much that is going to hurt.

cold sweats

ringing in ears

diarrhea

fatigue,

absolutely no motivation.

It's hard to say what it is, it's not the greatest idea to make a bunch of med changes at the same time.

Can you go back to the 20mg of Prozac? If you didn't give it at least a month before upping it then you missed out on knowing whether 20mg was enough - 20mg is enough for a lot of people.

The other possibility is that you're having some kind of withdrawal from the Wellbutrin. Or some combo of these two.

I had the same problem. They bumped me from 10 to 20 and then 20 to 40 when things were getting worse. It just made things even MORE worse. I ended up quitting it without telling anyone, and almost immediately felt better again, almost alive. In retrospect, I should've just told my doctor that things were not working out on it. IMHO Prozac is a bit overrated, especially if you have problems with motivation, because Prozac seems to kill your will to do anything.
