Stopping Nasonex to Reduce Restlessness

My doctor told me today that there are chemical inside nose sprays like Nasonex that can increase symptoms of restlessness. I was told that if I'm doing ok then I should quit taking the medication. I'm letting you know if you are having some psychiatric difficultiy with minor restlessness to clinical akathisia, try checking with your doctor about your nose spray. It may be complicating the problem. My doctor said it could be for me, which is why I'm stopping the use of Nasonex altogether. Good Luck.

I would be interested to know what that chemical is. I have had difficulties with steroid nose sprays (they caused nosebleeds, if I remember correctly). There is an over the counter nose spray in the US called Nasalcrom, which I tolerated fine. You may want to give it a try.

My favorite allergy spray is astelin.. the stuff is awesome. No steroids, no dryness.

Only downside is it tastes and smells like youre huffing dishwashing detergent, lol. =(

I like Astelin also. Can't use any of the steroid nose sprays.......hypomania.
