Guest justine
I took a drug 2 months ago that was ototoxic and gave me ear ringing. The ear ringing gradually went away over the course of several weeks. It was finally low enough that I could sleep on my side again (before that, I had to sleep on my back, so both ears would hear the masking noise from the fan). Then, I started on Wellbutrin SR 150mg. The ear ringing became terrible again. My pdoc said, "Oh, the ear ringing will go away," but I did some research and found that Wellbutrin is ototoxic (ear-toxic) and the ear ringing can last a long time. So I asked to start decreasing my dose, which I have done. Just hoping that the ear ringing will go away. It's still there on the lower dose, but it's not as bad.
