SO I was put on seroquel XR a while ago and when I was supposed to up my dose (sorry I cant remember, but i know it wasnt that high) About an hour after I took them I started getting all light headed, then confused, then my body started stretching it felt like. (like shrooms if you have ever takin them). It was terrible, panic, fear, stretching, confusion. I almost called my mom to take me to the hospital.

So I thought I was feeling better and stopped taking them after that, then the delusions ect. ect. came back and I called my doctor and she is just going to put me back on them.

It scares me to take them again

has this happened to anyone

I have been on seroquel xr for awhile now and the only side effect I get that you mentioned was the light headedness. I do suffer from some memory issues but I can't pin that only on the xr. I would just ask to try another med. What you are going through is def not normal.

i had started seroquel at like 150 or 200mg or something like that, and it would knock me out but also I felt like i couldn't breathe and was light heade which made me kind of panic a bit. So now i'm on a much lower dose to help with my sleep. But I would def tell your doc that you didn't feel right on it, and either ask to start out lower and slowly work up, or try a different med.

Sounds a bit like akathisia, perhaps. I take seroquel, without these issues, but when I tried the seroquel XR, it gave me serious akathisia. Could be that?
