Guest Michelle
I've been on various doses of Seroquel for a very long time. Initially I started at 400mg and worked my way up to 700mg. Because of extreme anxiety and panic attacks my dose was reduced to 400mg and was also switched to XR. Due to further misunderstandings between my doctor and I, I am now at 150mg XR. I've been told to increase to 200mg and it is just kickin my butt. I'm at the point that I want to stop taking it altogether, but mym doc says she will stop treating me if I do. I just don't know what to do about this. Is it helping the manic episodes? Yes. Is it helping the schizophrenia? A little. Is it causing more stress than it's worth? Definately! I don't like being so tired and I hate feeling 'drugged'. I got to make a decesion by tomorrow night. I really like the 150mg xr tabs but my doctor won't write a script for them, so my choices are to take the higher dose or take myself off altogether. I hate making decesions. jarn
Talk to your doctor to see if there's anything you can take (like Modafinal (Provigil)) to help with the sedation.

Michelle I use 50 mg ER tabs. Several of them. You don't need a script for 150, just lots of 50 mgs. Nice thing about that is you can tak less or more as needed. Don't stop taking it altogether. Work for a better communication with Pdoc if possible.

I've had to work long and hard with pdoc to come up with a rx that works for me. Keep at it.
