helloheartbreak
I got IV Haldol for a migraine on Friday. I don't know how much, I don't know what form. I have zero experience with standard APs but have taken all the AAPs. Since I woke up Saturday all of my joints and muscles have been aching like crazy and I haven't done anything strenuous that would precipitate such aches and pains. And I can't seem to stop clenching my jaw. I realize I'm doing it, stop, and the 5 minutes later I'm doing it again. Is this typical of Haldol or am I just coming down with something/anxious/whatever? Thanks for any input.
netsavy006
The only 2 things that come to mind though I can't diagnose are mild dystonia or some form of extrapyramidal symptoms. For EPS, Benadryl can be used. I think you would need prescription Cogentin to treat dystonia, (if that were in fact the dx). However of course consult your prescribing doctor or a pharmacist, because I'm not a medical professional. These are my hypothesis. Good Luck, Andy. helloheartbreak
No, no Cogentin or anything. And I cannot take Benedryl. I will never (hopefully) see that doc again - it was in the ER. I'll ask my pdoc about it tomorrow. Thanks for your replies!
