nuala
Hi All I joined this group a few weeks ago and posted a few times but just a couple days after, I went inpatient so I've been away from here for a while. I don't really know where to start posting/talking so I figured I'd just re-introduce myself and go from there. Went into the hospital Mon, July 26 and spent 8 glorious days there. After many med adjustments, my insurance said I was too well to be there and gave me the boot. I entered under suicide watch, although I hadn't actually attempted suicide. My problem is that I have kids and don't think I could do that to them (suicide) so instead, I just sit idly and wish I would die (that way, my kids would only have the normal grief without the guilt that attaches itself to the people left behind after suicide. Yes, it made sense at the time.) So, friend suggests that maybe I need to go in before I get to the point that I don't care about all that anymore and decide to mix myself a nice psych-med cocktail. Anyway, I'm home. Back on here reading everyone's tales and trying to figure out what to do with myself now that I'm 'well' (cough, cough.) Also trying to figure out how to begin the daunting process of applying for SSDI. Now there's a paralyzing prospect.
crtclms
Nuala, I saw you around before your hospitalization. I am so sorry you feel like shit, insurance companies, well, you know they suck. It sounds like a blog would be really helpful to you, and you would get a lot more feedback, or at least more eyes, to help you. Of course, you aren't posting in the "wrong place," I just mean it sounds like it helps you to write things out. There are threads on applying for SSDI on the forum, but I would have to look to tell you exactly where. I'm lazy. Welcome home.
nuala
I was considering blogging but of course was telling myself 'who the hell wants to read my rantings' and 'you'd never be able to keep it updated' ...you know, uplifting things like that I've been looking at the threads on SSDI...it's a big task to take on. Going to try to start digging into that tomorrow. Thanks for the warm welcome! Nuala, I saw you around before your hospitalization.
