who-who-who
Creative Fruit Loop: never married, couple cats, hospitaliZations, stunned to be alive(?) (attempt last year), dreading winter....etc: Have lost track of apartments lived (egads, how many roommates over the years?), "loves" (*ahem*) had & places worked.... others on such roller coasters? Anyone also give away most of things, just to accumulate them once again? What about split second "rational" decisions i.e., desire to sell car b/c pissed off about BP spill?? don't feel like a grown up either... Have to sign off for now, as I have surpassed the "sleep hygiene" time-frame. Look forward to any & all replies. G'night!
Emettman
Hmm: Places lived in since I left home at 18? (now 54) eight, not counting a couple of short stays while house hunting. (I'm on my third "own house".) Lovers? Two, just about (one of them would take a long time to explain about. It wasn't conventional, but neither lasted long, anyway. I haven't had a *date* for fifteen years.) Jobs? Six (the last one for fifteen years.)
Guest
I've had some upheaval in the last five years, quite a few lovers, houses and jobs. I'm working on getting my life more stable and ready for something long term. But I found the acute phases of bipolar lent themselves to change and disaster. It's only now I am more well that I can calm things down. I'm not ashamed of how my life has turned out, I'm a richer, more experienced person for it. olga
Welcome, who! I'm glad you found us and I hope you like being a part of the Crazyboards community. I would love to answer your question, but I don't have a calculator handy and I've never been good at adding things up in my head. Can I answer "lots" to the three questions? olga
Indigo 'n dye
Like Olga, I am unable to add that big a number in my head. However, in recent memory (+ -25 years) I have had one lover, one address, and three jobs. However, I am contemplating a "new" job at this time... Welcome, hi, hello! who-who-who
Thanks for the posts, though now I feel wackier than wacky. Here's my stats.: 20 apartments 36 roommates lovers (don't want to think about it) 15 (?) jobs attended 5 colleges........1 degree ( & a partridge in a pear tree) At one point I was a successful artist, in 25 + galleries/restaurants/corporations, guess that takes a little of the sting of the aforementioned. Hi there, Yup, been out of work around same amount of time. Doing a small amount of volunteer work to add some structure, keep from isolating & to have the illusion of not spinning my wheel(s). Have you applied for Medicaid?
The Emperor
2 apartments, finally got our own house now 1 lover 3 cats 1 friend 1 time I had a desire to sell all my earthly belongings and give away all the money to charity. I didn't do it. No job, have only had four, not good at keeping them. I'm a stay at home mom, I'm 24, about to go to school. Those are my stats! Not very interesting, but this was an interesting introduction. Welcome to CB!

withing
Have lost track of apartments lived (egads, how many roommates over the years?), "loves" (*ahem*) had & places worked.... others on such roller coasters? Anyone also give away most of things, just to accumulate them once again? What about split second "rational" decisions i.e., desire to sell car b/c pissed off about BP spill?? I'm not a big poster on the introduction board, but here goes... I'll count from my first divorce at 24 which is when I began making my own decisions... nine states, 27 addresses, 10 roommates (not counting relatives). Probably about 52 lovers (including one night stands). Since I did temp work most of my career, I can't even count the number of places I've worked. I believe I've had... 10 "real" jobs. Every time I moved I gave away/sold/tossed most of my possessions and fit the rest into my car - whenever I moved into an apartment I bought things I knew I'd eventually give away/sell/toss so my "real" possession are what fit into my car. Nearly every time I move from one state to another it's a split second decision.... I've quit two jobs with the rational that it was better to quit than to beat a co-worker into a bloody pulp in a manic rage (I'm not normally a violent person). Oh yeah, welcome to the boards. Maddy
Welcome to the boards. Have lost track of apartments lived (egads, how many roommates over the years?), "loves" (*ahem*) had & places worked.... others on such roller coasters? 1. Apartments lived:1 Houses lived: 1 2. Loves: 1 (fucks: too many too count, but fun is my spiritual path!) 3. Places worked: 17 (some of those were multiple jobs at a time during manic times) Sometimes it's not just a roller coaster, but one of these: Anyone also give away most of things, just to accumulate them once again? Sometimes I give away things, become gifty, etc. What about split second "rational" decisions i.e., desire to sell car b/c pissed off about BP spill?? I've disappeared before. Suddenly taking cross-country trips. Going for a drive that suddenly becomes a road-trip that ends horribly. BTDT. don't feel like a grown up either... I don't feel like a grown-up but my body feels fucking ancient. So unfair.

Oh yeah, welcome to the boards. .............................................................................. Thank you!! Oh----my-------gosh, your behaviors are so similar to mine, now I don't feel quite as freakishly odd (no offense). Do same thing with possessions, perhaps b/c moving so often has been exhausting. Also have ADD, wonder if that's part of the reason I binge & purge stuff. Ah, also used to have collections of various things, which I would inevitably tire of & sell....12 of one, 150 of another & 600 of the last. I won't say what kind of things b/c that will give away my "secret" identity!! Also on 300 xl Buproprion , discontinuing soon b/c it's kicking my arse (extreme fatigue). crtclms
17 jobs, plus my own business. Two periods of long term unemployment: 3.5 years; 22 mo. Another 2.5 years off from work, total, to recover from orthopedic surgeries. I am 47 next month. 16 moves as an adult (not counting college), but 3 of those moves were back in with my parents when I was MI. 15 or so "partners," for lack of a better catch-all phrase. Welcome to CBs.
