confused
I started 150mg wellbutrin 2 weeks ago. I've been having trouble staying asleep at night. Last night I took a left over ambien so I could stay asleep. I slept straight about 6 hours, but I was up wide awake at 4 am so I decided to stay up and start the day, but everyone else in the house was asleep. I've been dwelling on past delusions and having to work to reality check. I told my husband about the reality checking, that a radio personality was talking about a celebrity and I thought he was really talkking about me. I was able to realize that wasn't true. He thinks it's normal that things that remind me of the delusions will trigger a memory and it's okay as long as I can figure out what is real. I've been feeling down and fatigued for so long this is a welcome change. Is this just adjusting to a new med? I see my tdoc on Friday and I'll let her know how I'm doing. My pdoc is in the same office.
witchywoman
For me, we figured out it was too activating when I started having panic/anxiety attacks often. I don't remember if my sleep was interrupted or not.
llama44
When I was in the midst of a severe depressive episode I was given wellbutrin and it did help. Well eventually it helped too much. So it made me manic and I was taken off of it.
tryp
Wellbutrin was a nasty ride for me. It was okay for the first two weeks or so, and then all of a sudden I got monster paranoid. like, thinking people on the street can hear your thoughts paranoid. I begged my pdoc to keep me on it because I was desperate not to be depressed, but she pulled me off anyway and after I'd been off it for two days I knew she made the right call. Didn't realize I was acting like a nutbar until the stuff washed out of my system. It's probably worth telling your tdoc about. It could really be either.
