spaceman
I take 450 mg lamictal,300 mg wellbutrin and 200 mg serequel. still suffering from depression. would increasing serequel to like 400mg possibly help with the depression? at what dosage does the serious weight gain kick in? thanx Brian
tryp
It might. I'm on 300 mg right now, and every increase up to 300 has helped me with depression. Above 300, I start to get weird side effects, but a lot of people do go higher successfully. I've been gaining on 300, but I was gaining on 200 as well. SashaSue
I don't think the weight gain is generally dose dependent, but I'm too lazy to check that right now, so I could be mistaken. There tends to be a lot of variability with that stuff, though. I gained a ton of weight on zyprexa, but on seroquel, I've been able to lose weight. More slowly than I'd like, but still. For me, seroquel has been like magic for depression. I seem to need to stay at 500-600mg, any lower and the depression that won't die comes back. So I think there's a good chance increasing your dosage could help.
DannyBoy
Weight gain was terrible on zyprexa, seroquel less so, but both made me munch out. I'm wondering what a good dosage of seroquel is to treat depression. I have seroquel but i only ever take 25mg for sleep.
SashaSue
I think the usual dosage for depression is about 200mg-400mg.
