  1. 1. Do you have an android phone and would you be interested in beta testing an app for mood tracking?

Okay, so I'm getting started developing an android app tracking mood swings and whatnot--

Here are some of my questions:

What would you like to see on a mood tracking application specifically?

* the ability to track multiple moods per day is already definitely in

What would you like to see in a mood disorder support phone application?

*i.e. direct ability to call people on your support list

maybe with notices as to how often you've called them in the past for issue?

CBT like thought distortion challenges?

This app isn't even written yet, but I thought I'd see if there was any sort of interest on crazyboards for testing this thing.

I don't have an adroid phone yet, but will have one by Christmas when the contract is up. I would love an app like this. Maybe add a med tracker - dosage, timing, side effects, effectiveness. Maybe DBT stuff (if that's different from CBT)?

A reminder function/alarm to track your moods for the day. A way to track if you took your meds and how much sleep. But I don't know how much is too much in an app, ya know?

I would definitely include a brief, what occurred today field. Like, if negative things happened that would influence one's mood and vice versa.

That would be nice, but my droid doesn't have the option of adding people to form groups.. so that would be a whole other app.

Perhaps, I'm not sure how you would develop that, and yeah DBT would be helpful as well.

As for "A reminder function/alarm to track your moods for the day. A way to track if you took your meds and how much sleep".. I think there's already an app for that.. I'll look and post it here.

Ok, totally just found a free one. It's eMoods Bipolar Mood tracker. I just downloaded it to take a look & it looks pretty good! Give a shot and see if it's right for you.

I'd like to see a way to rate things on a scale - at any given time of the day. Things like irritability, anxiety, depressed mood, happiness, sadness, anger... And maybe a way to add your own mood related things - maybe things like jealousy, suspiciousness... (I can't think of any others, since these are just something I might like to keep track of if / when they happen - I'm sure other people have other things - and so maybe a couple of open fields or something to input your own things you want to track?) Being able to track things like sleep patterns, med timing etc - would also be very cool. Can you tell I have no idea about app development? lol - I'm sure none of that is easy, if it's even possible! A notes section would definately be great. Along with the ability to email yourself charts / summaries of recorded info over specified time periods.

So - get busy! haha. In the meantime, I'll check out the Emoods App (or some of the other free mood trackers I see out there) while I await your 5 star app!
