NullChamber
has anyone noticed that these antipsychotics except for abilify produce negative and cognitive symptoms ? they don't cause you to become psychotic per say i.e. positive symptoms, but they can lower your ability to think clearly, think abstractly, produce fluent speech, pay attention, experience pleasure... might want to know in case some are confused about some side effects
SashaSue
As far as I can tell, this is something that was an issue with the older AP's, but not so much with the atypicals.
koali777
I have definitely noticed that. When I was on Geodon and Risperdal I experienced all of those negative symptoms. People would tell me I just needed MORE, but they were wrong, and I was only better after I got off of em. Unfortunately I can't comment on Abilify not doing that cause I didn't stay on it very long. Guest Vapourware
While I've had bad side effects from Invega, much of the side effects mentioned in the OP are also caused by being psychotic and having unmedicated and untreated mental illness. It's a cost/benefit thing in the end. Personally I would still prefer to remain treated than to be untreated.
