Guest laura
I started the medication lithium and I lost my appetite and I believe my metabolism went down to zero, there was no thyroid problem though. and I started loosing massive amounts of muscle lately I have had a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes. I also have cloudy pee. Could the lithium cause the muscle wasting or is this from another disease? leukemia?
mudpuppy
If you think you have a serious health concern, you should probably contact a medical professional or the person who prescribed the lithium.
nibblerd
Off the top of my head I want to say that the only way lithium would cause muscle wasting is if you are too lethargic to be able to exercise and keep active. Beyond that, I don't know. No one can diagnose you over the internet, it's best you check in with a doctor at your ER if you feel it is a big enough threat. bpladybug
Yes, I second Mud. I think you need a thorough physical immediately with a GP or internist.
