No I am sorry it was a few years ago. I was always very close to toxic though. If you are really concerned go to the er to get your level done.

Drinkwater..lots. When I had to detox from it I drank water or a sports drink every waking moment for days..After all that no more Lithium for me. Fortunately Lamictal was approved for the treatment of BP about that time and it works for me..probably better than the Lithium did.

Good luck..keep us posted.

While it's not impossible to get lithium toxicity from 600 mg a day, it's not common, either. You'd have to get in the neighborhood of 1.5 to get toxicity, and that's hard to do with your dose. I got toxicity once from 1200 mg. You may simply have the flu.

That being said, being sick means not drinking a lot of fluids which can raise your lithium levels. So it's best to go see your doctor, get a lithium test done to see where you are at, and try to ride out the storm.

I gotta say, that even four hundred or six hundred if you are dehydrated can give ya the toxics. Speaking from personal experience? I knew I was toxic cuz I never got sick that way before. First the nauseau, then hot and cold flashes, then I actually fell asleep on my guitar while playing with someone ..........

By the time I realized I was in trouble? I was walking into walls, nausesous, and when I hit the bed? You know the head rush, pins and needles wierd stuff we all get? Well this kept going till I thought I was shaking to pieces and having the best head rush of my life.........my vision got ultra sharp and the 'rush' passed. I felt sick for a day or so till I flushed out the lith.

Lesser cases, have included having the rush when starting to fall asleep....(which the package insert describes as a 'dazed feeling' ? Dazed my ass...........I'm out there and tripping and not in a good way) or the nausea when I stupidly took ibuprofen on top of the lith? To me, lith toxicity is quite unique and yeah.............water............rest , more water, repeat.......

These days, if Dr. Jamison is to be trusted, we get dosed lower and the nausea and shit are less. But it happens and there is really no LOW dose for lithium, its very individual. So? We all hydrate and try to avoid things that will raise blood levels too high. Its not how much you take, its how much is concentrated in your blood.

Overall, though, it remains one of the safer big hitters for BP..............feel better from the salmonilla and keep hydrated.............

peace
