Guest
Seroquel is instant release, Big spike in the drug. Seroquel XR is slow release, Over 12 hours or so the drug is released into your body.

Guest
Since its releasing the drug slowly over a longer time, It will probably make you drowsy but not knock you out. In regards to longer to work, It depends what its used for. For sleep the IR is still better than XR, But during the day lots of people use the XR because it generally doesn't have as much sleepyness.
