Need to get off Trazodone - can I take Zyprexa/Seroquel with Abilify?

Hello everybody,

this is my first post and I have to say I absolutely love this forum!

I have a major problem with taking Trazodone 150mg at night - the sleep eating is killing me! I have gained so much weight its incredible. I am on weight watchers right now and I eat really great during the day, but after I take the traz at night I start eating almost everything in the house! Things I would normally NOT eat, too. I wake up with chocolate melted all over me, crumbs everywhere...it's awful.

I am on Abilify 2 mg which has been a livesaver for me. I also have an rx for Zyprexa and Seroquel that I don't use.

Can I take either of those AP's while on Abilify to help me sleep?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Were they prescribed to take along with abilify? I used to take abilify and a small dose of seroquel and I slept at night, but you should check with your prescribing doc.

Though I never took the 2 together, someone who use to go to my program use to take 15mg Zyprexa and 15mg Abilify together for bipolar disorder.

When I was in the psych ward, I've heard of Seroquel and Abilify being taken together.

I would ask your doctor and if you can't reach him/her, ask the pharmacist.

They now have live chat now at walgreens website should you have an online account though walgreens should you want to ask about your medications.

What were the seroquel and zyprexa originally prescribed for? In what dosages? What does your pdoc say about your issues with trazadone?
